Co-Curricular Activities

Our extra-curricular programme is a vital part of life at Moreton Hall. From societies and entrepreneurship, to Spoken English, the Rylands Diploma, and Sport, Art and Drama, Moreton offers a multitude of opportunities for pupils to stretch themselves outside the curriculum, to find new interests and learn new skills for life. The value of these activities support their development and helps shape their future, building confidence, resilience and teamwork.

We encourage all our pupils to take advantage of Moreton’s extensive co-curricular programme. Our culture of innovation infuses our pupils with a willingness to move out of their comfort zones and an eagerness to try something new.

Our primary aim for these activities is to build emotional intelligence in our pupils, with a focus on the following character traits: Character Education, Grit, Creativity, Curiosity, Leadership, Kindness, Adaptability and Integrity.

Co-curricular Programme

Societies and Activities

Our extensive list of societies and activities reflect Moreton’s ethos of innovation and discovery and is a critical part of what Moreton has to offer its pupils. From ecology and current events to science and outdoor adventures, Moreton caters to a wide range of interests.

Many of our clubs are student-initiated, such as the Magna Carta Society which examines current events and human rights, and others are long-standing societies, such as our academic enrichment societies, which open our doors and invite the world to Moreton.

Clubs currently on offer include: Drama, Entrepreneurship, Food and Wine, Duke of Edinburgh, Human Rights, Journalism, Life Skills, Medicine, Music and Outdoor Adventures.

Academic Enrichment
Set alongside our academic programme is Moreton’s vibrant enrichment programme which aims to provide pupils with an education that is as broad as it is deep. The Bronwen Society, The Lady Barbirolli Society and The Jenner Society are Moreton’s longest-standing societies, led by our Principal’s Scholars. While these are designed mainly for Senior School and Sixth Form students, we also offer a Junior Enrichment programme for younger pupils in Years 6 – 8. Skills for Life
In addition to traditional programmes such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award and the Combined Cadet Force, Moreton offers several bespoke programmes that ignite interests and build skills for life, ensuring that Moretonians strive confidently into their future.
