Duke of Edinburgh
DofE

The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme is an opportunity to discover new interests and talents. Open to pupils from 14 years it offers three progressive levels which lead to Bronze, Silver or Gold awards and is a recognised mark of achievement; respected by employers and universities alike.

At Moreton we offer the award at Bronze and Gold levels.

Bronze students take part in 2 expeditions in the local area and take part in Skills, Volunteering and Physical activities on a weekly basis for 3 months.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme at Gold level is one of the most prestigious and rewarding challenges that students in Year 12 can take part in. A very different experience from the DofE at other levels, the award gives students the confidence to push themselves out of their comfort zone to realise their full potential.

Well respected by universities and employers alike, the Gold Award fosters: self-confidence, resilience, leadership, team skills, as well as an appreciation of the wilderness areas of the United Kingdom.

Gold awards are celebrated at a dedicated event with a member of the Royal family at one of the Royal palaces.

Over 30% of pupils at Moreton Hall have successfully participated in the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.
