The School Day

“Our pupils squeeze more into one school day than most of their peers would fit into a week and love every minute of it.”

Deputy Head Academic

While the school day varies depending on the year group and the subjects a pupil chooses to study, in common, they are joyfully and purposefully busy.

  • Wednesday afternoon is dedicated to sport for pupils in Upper Four through to the Sixth Form, with Remove and Lower Four having their afternoon of sport on Tuesdays.
  • Prep, or homework, is scheduled into the timetable both during the day and after school.
  • We do not have lessons on Saturday mornings, but all pupils from Year 6 to Upper Five are encouraged to take part in our Saturday Enrichment programme
  • By Sixth Form, students take much more responsibility for managing their own time.
  • Day girls are free to leave after lessons at the end of the day or to stay for supper and take part in activities at no additional charge.
  • Specific timetables for each year are detailed in the House Handbooks, which are sent to parents and pupils before the start of each academic year.
