The Music department was buzzing with excitement as nine of our exceptionally talented vocalists were treated to an exclusive masterclass with the renowned soprano, Claire Wild.
Each student enjoyed a focused 30-minute session, working closely with Claire on repertoire they are preparing for upcoming performances and examinations. Claire’s expertise shone through as she meticulously guided each individual, offering invaluable insights into vocal technique and performance skills.
The masterclass proved to be an enriching experience, allowing students to refine their abilities and gain confidence under Claire’s expert tutelage. “It was incredible to work with Claire,” one student remarked. “Her advice was so specific and helpful, and hearing her demonstrate parts of my song was just incredible!”
Following the individual sessions, the entire school community was treated to a delightful lunchtime recital by Claire herself. Her performance of O Mio Babbino Caro by Puccini and Je Veux Vivre by Gounod captivated pupils and staff alike, leaving the audience spellbound by her vocal artistry.
Claire was equally impressed by the talent and enthusiasm of the Moreton Hall students. “It was such a joy to give a Masterclass at Moreton Hall,” she commented. “The girls were brilliantly prepared, talented and imaginative! Every student had something unique to offer and were wonderfully receptive to ideas. What a glorious day of Music making!”
The masterclass with Claire Wild has undoubtedly been a highlight of the musical calendar, providing our students with an exceptional opportunity to learn from a leading professional. We are incredibly grateful to Claire for sharing her expertise and inspiring our young vocalists.
