Pupil’s Podium Success

Holly (Upper Five) was placed second in the British Women’s Motocross Championships at Brookthorpe Track, Gloucester. An amazing achievement for someone who has only been racing for three years!

Holly has been preparing for these championships for many months, attending gruelling training sessions and winning a number of rounds before getting through the final stages.

“Over the past year, we have watched Holly’s progress with interest,” commented Helen Rayner, Lloyd-Williams’ Housemistress.

“The journey has not been easy: there have been many ups and downs along the way, but Holly has shown real determination, strength of character and tenacity to overcome any set back she has encountered,” said Music teacher, Mrs Lott.

Reaching the final, let alone the podium for these Championships is an outstanding achievement. We will continue to watch Holly’s progress on her new, bigger 125cc bike. Training for her new set of goals is well underway and we look forward to watching her progress through the next level of Championships.
