Moreton Hall is opening its gates this summer for a brand new Lacrosse Prospect Day, a free opportunity for young players to develop their game, enjoy specialist coaching and experience the energy of one of the country’s strongest school lacrosse programmes.

Taking place on Sunday 21st June from 10am to 3pm, the day is open to girls in Years 5 to 11, with both Moreton and non-Moreton pupils warmly welcome. Whether you are completely new to lacrosse or already playing at a high level, sessions will be tailored to suit your experience and ability.

Players will enjoy a full day of bespoke coaching workshops, with expert input from Moreton Hall Lacrosse coaches and guest coaches, including international coach Carina Bates and Ellie Jones, current Wales and GB attacker and Moreton Hall alumna. There will also be a Q&A session (lunch included) and an S&C gym session for older players.

The day has been designed to give players the chance to learn new skills, build confidence and experience the kind of coaching environment that has helped Moreton Hall establish an outstanding reputation in the sport. There will also be an opportunity to learn more about both 6s and 10s lacrosse.

For parents, there will be the option of a free school tour either at the beginning of the day or on collection. Families are then invited to stay on for a special fixture at 3.30pm, when the current Moreton Hall 1st team will take on an Old Moretonian team of star players, with refreshments provided.

Moreton Hall’s lacrosse pedigree speaks for itself. The school were National Schools Champions in 2024, and have also secured titles as North Schools Champions and Welsh Rally Champions. The current 1st team includes eight international players, and the school benefits from exceptional leadership in the sport, with its Head of Lacrosse also serving as Head Coach of the Welsh National Programme.

Scholarship scouting will be in place, but the event is very much open to all. You do not need to be considering Moreton Hall in order to attend; this is a chance simply to come along, enjoy the day and immerse yourself in top-class lacrosse coaching.

Places are free, but booking is essential.
