Based at the state-of-the-art Holroyd Community Theatre, the academy has become a leading provider of high-quality acting, singing and dancing training for young people in the area.
Since its inception, in January 2017, the academy has trained thousands of young performers, many of whom have gone on to achieve professional theatre work and gain places at some of the UK’s top drama schools and training providers. Face2Face is open to anybody within the local community between the ages of 9 and 18. It aims to build students’ confidence by allowing them to experiment and explore the creative arts in a safe, fun and warm environment.
Patrons of the academy include: Mark Jermin, a theatrical agent and Sheila Reid who is best known for her role of Madge in ITV’s Benidorm. Patrons and guest professionals often visit Face2Face, delivering masterclasses and workshops. They also offer students invaluable support and guidance about entering the industry.
The academy offers weekly classes in acting, singing and dancing, as well as termly projects. In the past, productions such as Legally Blonde JR and Beauty and the Beast have been extremely successful showcasing the talent of all students involved.
