Michael Brewer, our Principal-designate, was delighted to visit Moreton Hall recently along with his wife, Felicity, and their two daughters Harriet and Etta.
Michael and his family would like to pass on their sincere thanks to the parents, pupils and staff who made them feel so welcome on their recent visit; they all very much look forward to meeting more of the Moreton community over the coming months.
Currently Head of Thetford Grammar School, Michael has enjoyed a varied career within independent day and boarding schools over the past 20 years. As well as having been a housemaster, director of boarding, and deputy head, he has worked as a boarding inspector with ISI since 2012.
Michael is keenly interested in the educational journey that schools take their pupils on. A qualified teacher of English and Religious Studies, he has been a head of department, co-wrote Heinemann’s Think RE! series of textbooks and teacher guides, and has been an associate lecturer at the University of Chichester on their PGCE programme.
Asked what he was most looking forward to about joining Moreton Hall, Michael said:
“Everybody I have spoken with tells me Moreton is a very special place, and indeed that is palpable. As a family, we are looking forward to getting to know the school and its people, being fully immersed in its community, and helping to really celebrate all of the things that make Moreton magical.”
