Moreton Hall Hosts the Wales Aquatic Swim Club Of The Year

Moreton Hall is proud to host the Chirk Dragons Swimming Club. This well-established competitive swimming club, based in North Wales, just across the border from Moreton Hall, aims to develop the swimming skills of members of all ages. The club holds its training sessions at the school.

Set within Moreton Hall’s 100 acres of tranquil parkland, our heated indoor swimming pool offers a uniquely scenic and inspiring environment for both training and relaxation. With five full lanes and Olympic-standard starting blocks, the pool caters equally to serious swimmers in training and those enjoying a more leisurely swim. Its depth of up to 3.7 metres at the deep end allows for safe diving and competitive starts, while the bright, spacious viewing area welcomes families and supporters, adding atmosphere and a sense of community to every session.

The Swim Wales Aquatic Club of the Year award recognises a Swim Wales affiliated club that has demonstrated exceptional dedication to fostering talent and promoting inclusivity across any aquatic discipline. The award celebrates a club that not only achieves success in competition but also creates a welcoming and supportive environment where athletes of all ages and abilities can develop their skills, enjoy their sport and thrive.

The Chirk Dragons Swimming Club received this reputable award for 2025. It’s an achievement that recognises the exemplary coaching and community that Chirk Dragons has created, which creates a safe, enjoyable, and progressive environment enabling its members to flourish.
