Moreton Shines at Shropshire Food Festival

Moreton Hall was delighted to participate in the prestigious Shropshire Food Festival, held on June 28th and 29th at the beautiful Quarry in Shrewsbury. It was a fantastic weekend showcasing the vibrant talents and engaging spirit of our students to the wider community.

Our stand was a hub of activity with a captivating STEM experiment where visitors were challenged to build vessels capable of carrying the most mass, all vying for a spot on our leaderboard. The activity ran throughout both days, attracting numerous families eager to get involved. We particularly noted the competitive spirit of many Dads, who enthusiastically embraced the challenge! A huge thank you goes to our incredible Lower 6 girls who supported the STEM activity with boundless energy and spoke passionately to visiting families about the wonderful opportunities at Moreton Hall.

Adding another layer of excitement, our talented Year 9 students took to the “Teach and Taste” tent, delivering an amazing cooking demonstration on how to make an upside-down cheesecake.

The girls truly shone, not only showcasing the wonderful Leiths culinary provision available at Moreton Hall School, but also demonstrating remarkable confidence and poise in public speaking.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the parents who attended and provided their invaluable support to the girls during their impressive cooking demo.

The Shropshire Food Festival, a multi-award-winning event, once again delivered a fantastic experience, bringing together over 180 exhibitors, chef talks, live music, and a host of family-friendly activities. Moreton Hall School was proud to be a part of this celebration of food, talent, and community.
