Moreton Hall has proudly signed the Armed Forces Covenant, a promise that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces of the Crown, and their families, are treated with fairness and respect in their communities, economy, and society for which they serve with their lives.
Moreton Hall’s principal, Michael Brewer, Director of Operations, Alan McTaggart and Director of Outreach and Associations, Rachel Randle visited RAF Shawbury to make the signing official.
By signing the Covenant, Moreton Hall is reinforcing its commitment to supporting the armed forces community by continuing to welcome forces families, fostering relationships between the school and the Armed Forces, and supporting employment opportunities for veterans, service spouses and partners.
Moreton Hall knows that forces life can be disruptive to the continuity of a child’s education and recognises the importance of providing a stable and reliable environment. Moreton offers fee remission to the children of serving members of His Majesty’s Armed Forces and warmly welcomes these families.
Moreton Hall supports those who wish to pursue a career in the forces through its Combined Cadet Force (CCF) which was established at Moreton in 2019 and is run in partnership with St Martins School. It meets weekly, and in addition to the weekly parade, cadets take part in regular field exercises and an annual summer camp.
Pupils can join the CCF from Year 8 where they are taught the core skills that the army promotes; leadership, self-discipline, time management and teamwork.
