Moreton Lacrosse Players Shine at Home Internationals

What a weekend at the Lacrosse Home Internationals! This year’s competition saw four pupils, two OMs and one Moreton Coach head to Nottingham for an eventful two days of Lacrosse.

Upper Five pupils Eliza and Romilly played for the Wales U18s and gained their first international caps. Moreton Sixth students Phoebe and Karina played for the England U18s with Moreton’s Head of Lacrosse, Carina Walsh, coaching the team. The England U18 team played outstandingly and were crowned U18 Home Internationals Champions.

We were delighted to see OM Anabel Noble who played for Wales U21 and OM Milly Home who played for Senior England and was awarded MVP for the whole tournament, an incredible achievement.

Acting Director of Sport, Sarah Borrett, said: “It has been fantastic to see these pupils as well as Old Moretonians playing for their countries in this tournament. They have worked incredibly hard to get to this level and played fantastically well. Moreton are very proud of them.”
