Airport Transfers

Pupils are required to return home or stay with an appointed guardian during the half term and School holidays*. Term dates are available to view here (please ensure you view the correct academic year). It is the responsibility of the Parents/Guardian to book flights for all school holidays.

*Pupils in Upper 4 to Upper 6 inclusive are allowed to stay in school during the half-term and some holidays and all international pupils are able to stay in school on an Exeat. This is all subject to an additional cost and at the school’s discretion.

The Transport team at Moreton Hall are able to assist with Airport Transfers and Home/Guardian transfers.

Please make your transfer request by completing the Online Transport Booking Form which will be emailed to you.

Our dedicated team of School Transport Drivers and our long standing Approved and Accredited Travel suppliers offer the reassurance to parents that their children are delivered to and met at the airports or homestays be a familiar and welcoming face.

Where possible we will arrange for pupils to travel together reducing the costs to parents.

Silent Hours

Parents/Guardians should consult the Silent Hours Policy before booking any flights or making travel arrangements. Moreton Hall School will not be liable for any additional cost incurred as a result of needing to change travel plans to comply with our Silent Hours Policy. A synopsis of our Silent Hours policy is that Moreton Hall School has Silent Hours protocols between 10pm and 6am where there is no movement In or Out of the school grounds

Early Leave/Late Return Permission Requests

Consideration will be given to requests received by Parents/Guardians to take their child out of school before the end of Term due to extenuating circumstances; or return later than the Term start date by the school Senior Leadership Team. Parents/Guardians must submit their request by completing the online Early Leaves/Late Returns Request Form which will be emailed to you.

Parents/Guardians should submit their request before making travel arrangements. Moreton Hall School will not be liable for any additional cost incurred as a result of needing to change travel plans to comply with our Early Leaves/Late Return Policy

Unaccompanied Minor Service

We offer an Unaccompanied Minor Service on request to complement many airlines’ policies – providing a smooth transition through the airport Check In and Arrivals procedures. This is particularly geared for the younger or inexperienced traveller.

Airport Pick up Waiting Time and Parking

45 minutes Free Waiting Time from Flight Landing to Pick Up at Arrivals Hall
£30 per Hour Charged thereafter or Part 20 minutes (£10 per 20 mins)

Parking costs applied by the Airport/Train company at source will also be recharged.

Unsociable Hours – Long Distance Pick Up Surcharge

To ensure the safety of our Drivers and Pupils alike an Unsociable Hours Surcharge will apply to Airport Pick up Times before 09:30 from Airports or addresses more than 3 hrs from Moreton Hall School charged as a £60 Hotel Surcharge.

Similarly, Late Night Drop Offs delaying a Return Journey until after 21:30 when more than 3 hrs from Moreton Hall School will also be charged a £60 Hotel Surcharge.
