“The bridge to the world beyond school”

Moreton Sixth

Moreton Sixth empowers students with a diverse array of academic and enriching experiences, fostering the development of independent, grounded, and well-rounded individuals prepared to confidently pursue any future pathway. We provide individual Careers advice to all students which starts very early in a Moreton student’s life, addressing both ability and aspiration with opportunities presented to them for studying degrees at a varied mix of institutions including Russell Group Universities, Universities in America, as well as opportunities presented through Apprenticeship schemes for those wanting to enter the world of work straight away. Whatever your daughter’s ambitions, we will construct a programme of study that will allow her to make the very best of her talents and enable her to take her education and experiences to the next level, continually supported by a Sixth Form Tutor for these important two years, all of whom are specialists in supporting students at this level.

Sixth Form Studies

The curriculum is further extended at Sixth Form beyond that offered at GCSE to include the following A level subjects and additional routes of study: Cambridge National – Sports Studies, Economics, Further Maths, History of Art, IELTS qualifications, Japanese, Psychology, Photography, Politics, Textiles and the University of Arts London (UAL) Diploma in Performing Arts. Most students will study three A level subjects.

We also encourage students to take an Extended Project Qualification, Leiths Cookery Course, and Business for Languages courses in French and Spanish to further enrich their Sixth Form experience. These opportunities allow students to continue to pursue subjects they are passionate about alongside their A level subjects.

At Moreton Sixth, we believe in nurturing not just intellect, but also character and capability. Our Sixth Form distinguishes itself through a truly unique and comprehensive educational experience. Our Rylands Diploma in Life Skills and the opportunity to achieve Grade 8 Spoken English are foundational elements that cultivate confident and articulate individuals. Students also gain invaluable real-world business acumen through Moreton Enterprises, our student-run enterprise that benefits the entire school community. Further leadership development is fostered through the rigorous process of applying to be an Upper Sixth Prefect. Complementing these academic and practical pursuits, compulsory games and a wide array of competitive fixtures ensure a holistic and well-rounded Sixth Form journey for every student.
