Chair: Duncan Murphy BA (Hons), MEd, FRSA, FCMI, FCCT

Duncan is an experienced, well-respected educationalist with a successful track record of leadership and governance. In recent years, Duncan has established an outstanding reputation as a discerning strategic consultant and assisted a diverse range of businesses and schools across all sectors in their potential for positive change. Duncan has featured in The Telegraph, LBC and BBC Radio 4 as a voice of authority on the sector. He was a finalist for the Education Investor Strategic Consultant of the Year Award in 2023, 2024, 2025 & 2026 and nominated for the Education Investor PowerList Award in 2025. Furthermore, he is a regular contributor to the educational press and has chaired, or participated in, strategic panels for numerous associations as well as the Commission on the Future of Independent Schools at the House of Commons and as a guest of Baroness Spielman on Educational Trends at the House of Lords. He is an articulate and charismatic ambassador for schools and all related stakeholders – not least the children, who, he advocates passionately, should be at the forefront of educational policy.

Richard Carryer

Richard is Brand Sales Director for Trendsetter International (Family business). Richard has been with the company for 16 years and works with key retailers in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. The brand name is The Fine Bedding company. Previously Richard worked in a similar role with Waterford Wedgwood working in the UK and also the USA. Both Richard’s wife Deborah and daughter Verity are OM’s. Verity left Moreton Hall in July 2021.

Nick Botting

Nick is a vastly experienced international educator with over 38 years as an administrator and teacher in six different countries. Most recently, he has been working in China for BASIS International and Bilingual Schools China, both as a Head of School and as a Chief Instructional Officer across their growing network of schools. Prior to that Nick played a key role in the successful development of Dulwich College Shanghai and the International School of London in Qatar, both highly renowned IB Schools. Nick has a passion for teacher training, and over the last twenty years has developed and refined teacher evaluation models that focus on professional growth through the lens of impact on student learning. Highly respected across the international school community, Nick has shared his vision for classroom improvement via numerous presentations in Asia and in Europe.
