The Spring Soiree was undoubtedly a feast for the ears. A wonderfully uplifting event that showcased the true breadth and depth of musical talent at Moreton. Over 100 pupils were involved which culminated in all four senior school choirs coming together as a real tour de force with an electrifying rendition of Karl Jenkins’ Adiemus.
The Musgrave was the setting for the highly anticipated Spring Soiree concert, and as Moreton Hall parent Dr Alison Cooper, writes, everyone who attended was treated to a wonderful evening.
Welcomed by Moreton’s own Mr and Mrs Dennison and enjoying the marvellous hospitality provided by Stephen Conroy and his team; the Musgrave was filled with excitement as the pupils took to the stage. The concert provided a perfect blend of music and singing, showcasing soloists and duets as well as the Chamber, Show and Stables’ choirs and musicians from the North Shropshire Orchestra.
The audience were treated to a wonderfully diverse programme of music, ranging from operatic singing to a contemporary, self-composed guitar solo – the concert really did have something for everyone! Musical pieces were expertly performed, and the vocals were simply breathtaking – the evening really did showcase the immense talent of these remarkable young performers, whose level of skill and maturity was truly impressive.
It was evident that the staff and pupils had put in countless hours of hard work and the pupils’ passion for music shone through in every flawless performance – leaving the audience completely captivated.
The Spring Soiree was an unforgettable evening of music and singing that left a lasting impression (and much parental pride!) on all who attended. Thank you to the Music department for organising such a magical evening and to all the staff and pupils involved, who should be hugely proud of their incredible talents.
