Shining Success as Moreton Hall Takes Silver at UK Feminista Awards

We are delighted to announce that Moreton Hall has been awarded the Silver Action Award by UKFeminista. This is a remarkable national accolade,  recognising our unwavering commitment to tackling sexism and sexual harassment.

The awards ceremony, held at the inspiring Science Gallery, King’s College London, brought together leading voices and changemakers from across the UK. Representing our school with pride were Ms Conde and Mrs Williams, stepping onto the national stage to accept an award bestowed on only seven schools in the entire country.

The UKFeminista Awards are more than just recognition, they are a powerful platform championing justice and equality. At their core is a mission to create a world where women and girls live free from sexism and violence. Through systemic advocacy and grassroots empowerment, UKFeminista works to eliminate discrimination and build institutions where all can thrive.

Receiving this Silver Award is an incredible testament to the work Moreton Hall does every day to build a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for all pupils and staff. At the heart of this achievement is our trailblazing group, MPWR (Moreton – Promoting Women’s Rights). MPWR continues to lead the charge in promoting gender equality, challenging inequality, and giving young voices the platform they deserve.

A special congratulations goes to Upper Sixth student Anna, our dynamic Student Head of MPWR for the current academic year. Her energy, passion, and leadership played a crucial role in securing this national recognition. Anna’s dedication shows us all what is possible when young people lead with purpose and conviction.

The event itself was unforgettable, hosted by the phenomenal Samira Ahmed – acclaimed journalist, broadcaster, and advocate for justice. Her presence brought a thoughtful, powerful tone to the celebration, reminding us all of the importance of continued action and courage in the face of inequality.

As we celebrate this milestone, we are already looking to the future. With Sanya Shaw stepping in as the new Student Head of MPWR for the upcoming academic year, Moreton’s sights are now set on going for Gold. With Sanya’s passion and vision, we are ready to build on this momentum and continue making meaningful change.

This Silver Award is not just a badge of honour,it is a beacon of what’s possible when young people lead with heart, determination, and hope.
