Senior Curriculum

Continually adapting and changing to meet the demands of a modern education Moreton Hall provides a broad and dynamic curriculum that stretches and challenges pupils in a supportive environment whilst encouraging them to explore their interests and strengths as they begin to develop their skills and knowledge for the years ahead.

From Year 7 to Year 9, the curriculum is broad with all students studying Mathematics, English, Science, as well as Art, Classical Civilisation, Computer Science, Design and Technology, Drama, Food Technology, French, Geography, History, Latin, Music, Religious Studies and Spanish. During Year 10 and Year 11, the curriculum becomes geared towards GCSE study with eight or nine GCSEs selected, but this will vary according to the individual abilities and needs of each pupil. GCSE subjects on offer in addition to the core subjects of English Language and Literature, Mathematics and Science (both Separate Science and Combined Science) include Additional Maths, Business, German, Mandarin, Physical Education, and other languages are available on request, eg Italian. PSHE, PE and Games are compulsory elements of the curriculum for all year groups.

Pupils are continually supported by house staff and by their personal tutor through twice-weekly group and individual meetings, which ensure that they are achieving at least to the best of their ability, if not beyond, and managing their time efficiently.
