OMA support has also extended to major school
projects including the IT and Science buildings, as
well as the seats in the Holroyd Theatre. These
initiatives are all part of the OMA’s ongoing
mission: to strengthen connections among alumni
while giving back in ways that enrich the lives of
Moreton’s current students.
In 2013, the school’s centenary was marked
with reunions across the country, and in 2023 –
celebrating “110 years of Moreton” (a delightful
nod to its long and vibrant legacy) – OMs
gathered in Shropshire, Cheshire, Anglesey,
Somerset and Northern Ireland. Heartfelt thanks
go to all those who opened their homes and to
the school’s marketing team for their invaluable
support.
At Speech Day last year, a celebratory lunch was
held for returning OMs in the Staff Room (once
the reference library). Among those welcomed
back was Ebun Clarke (OM 1950–1960), who
was delighted to see the trophy she gifted to the
school for Spoken English now proudly on display.
The London drinks party also made a welcome
return, hosted in a Chelsea pop-up gallery
featuring work by Aubrey Higgins, nephew of an
