Prep Sport Round Up
A Year of Energy,

Effort and Excellence

In the world of prep school sport, there are few standing ovations,
and the applause—when it comes—is often from the sidelines,
mingled with thermos lids and muddy trainers. But this year, PE at
Moreton Hall Prep unfolded with all the energy and excellence of a

season in full bloom.

There were no searchlights. No podium
speeches. Just the glorious persistence of
children running, leaping, falling, and rising
again.

From the frosted edges of the cross-country
trail to the splash and surge of the pool,
pupils embraced every opportunity not just
to compete—but to connect. In cross country,
they didn’t simply run: they ran together,
pushing one another forward to finish a
stunning second overall in the Oswestry Area
Championships. Elsewhere, swimmers carved
through the water with such assurance that
a handful now glide on to county level. The
lanes get longer; their determination, sharper.
