Spring Term: Building
on Momentum
As winter receded, netball and lacrosse stepped
into the spotlight. The Spring Term is often a
barometer of depth and development, and this
year’s results affirmed that Moreton’s sporting
programme is thriving.
On the netball court, progress was palpable.
The U13s notched a confidence-building win
over Ellesmere, while the U12s claimed fourth at
the North Shropshire Tournament. Senior squads
— U16 and U19 — held their own in county
fixtures, setting the stage for future success.
The 2nd team matched the excellence, defending
both their Welsh Rally and Northern Schools Lacrosse, as ever, stood as a point of pride.
Championships — an extraordinary feat of The 1st team reached the quarter-finals of the
consistency. The U15s mirrored this invincibility, National Schools Championships, narrowly
ending with a thrilling 9–9 draw against missing the semi-finals — a result echoed by
Birkenhead. For the U14s, the season marked a the U15s. The 2nd team and U13s finished in
dramatic turnaround: a 12–1 defeat turned into a the top 16, underscoring the programme’s
