Bridget Tate (OM 2015)
Since leaving Moreton Hall in 2015, Bridget Tate
has carved out an impressive and purposeful
career in the world of equestrian sport — one
that blends academic excellence with elite-level
performance and professional ambition.
Bridget graduated with First Class Honours from
the Royal Agricultural University, where her
focus and determination laid the foundation for
a future in competitive dressage. Her talent and
work ethic were soon recognised at a national
level: she was selected for the Lottery-funded
World Class Programme, a prestigious initiative
designed to support Britain’s most promising
equestrian athletes. She also gained a place
on the British Equestrian Young Professionals
Programme, a pathway that nurtures not only
sporting excellence but also the development of
sustainable careers within the industry.
Abbie Lawton (OM 2015)
Abbie married Kieron Fletcher on 2.08.2024
with two OM bridesmaids either side of her,
Emily Ford and Ishika Roy-Chowdray.
In addition to her competitive achievements,
Bridget has more recently taken on the role of
ambassador for the University of Liverpool’s
Equine Hospital — one of the UK’s leading
centres for veterinary research and treatment.
She is passionate about raising awareness of
the broad career opportunities available through
veterinary science, noting that graduates of
the university often go on to work not only
with animals but also in high-level roles within
pharmaceutical and research industries.
Bridget continues to train, compete, and advocate
for equine excellence, blending her love of horses
with a keen sense of professional development.
Her journey is an inspiring example of how
passion, discipline, and education can work hand-
in-hand — both in the saddle and beyond.
