A Welcome from
Deborah Speakman,
Head of Prep
As we reflect on this year, it becomes clear that
education is not solely about what is learned within
the confines of a classroom. True growth happens
when we step outside those walls and engage
with the world around us. It’s in the connections
we form—whether through friendships, shared
experiences, or community service—that we
truly become well-rounded individuals. This year
has been a testament to the power of those
connections and how they shape us.
Our school community has been active in making
a real difference, not just for ourselves but also for
those around us. From helping at Bluebell View
Care Home, where our pupils brought joy and
companionship to the elderly, to our Community
Action Day, where we rolled up our sleeves to
assist in improving our local area, this year has
been filled with moments of giving back. Pupils also
supported the Shooting Stars Charity by collecting
baby clothes, demonstrating the compassion and
generosity that define the heart of our school.
It’s these experiences outside the
classroom that truly shape our
character and teach us the value of
community.
