Light Up Oswestry performers, it marked not just recognition, but a
foundation for futures that may yet resonate on
At Oswestry’s Lights Switch-On, it was the far larger stages.
Moreton Prep Junior Choir who illuminated the
evening. Forty-eight pupils from Years 3 to 6
sang Tell Me a Story and All Around the World
with a clarity that momentarily stilled the festive
bustle.
As snow began to fall — perfectly, almost
theatrically — the performance took on a
cinematic glow. More than just carols beneath
the lights, it became a brief, shared moment of
joy: simple, fleeting, and quietly unforgettable.
Friendship Week: Small
Acts, Lasting Bonds
“In a world where you can be anything, be kind.”
At Moreton Prep, those words are more than
sentiment — they’re a school rule, and
never more visible than during our annual
Friendship Week.
Kindness took many forms. Children exchanged
handwritten notes through a “Positivity Post
Rising Voices: Moreton Box”, slipped with encouragement and care. They

tokens of connection to be worn long after the

flash of colour and fun, celebrating the joy of
