My final production at Moreton was Made in
Dagenham, which was the perfect show to wrap
up seven years of committed jazz hands. Those
few months of rehearsals were truly special, and
the ugly crying at the end of the last show made
me slightly concerned about what emotional
state I might be in on Speech Day.
Moreton productions build bonds across the
school in ways nothing else possibly could.
Spending nearly every lunchtime, evening,
and weekend rehearsing with cast and crew
has brought me some of my closest friends.
Our dressing-room photoshoots, backstage
TikToks, and crazy after-show parties made
show week unforgettable.
